Flash Fiction - November 14, 2014
Parking in front of his apartment building, I got out of the car, stalked to the front and laid down on the cold, hard cobblestones. I’d given up on trying to win his heart back. I stared at the clouds—gray and dull, like my life has been without him. I stared at the brickwork of his home—a wall, keeping me out of his world, out of his heart. I stared at his window—my emotions laid bare, letting him see into my soul.
I stared into his eyes as he stood over me. He laid down beside me and kissed me.
