New Release! Hustle and Hart

A brand new Young Adult Novella set in the

Southern Jersey Shores world.

Way back in February, I wrote a quick one chapter story in response to a prompt from my publisher/editor, Debbie McGowan from Beaten Track Publishing. Using ABBA songs only, create a story, poem, haiku, whatever. I'd been tossing around the idea of a basketball themed story ever since I saw one of my daughter's coaches wearing a shirt that read: Hustle and Heart Sets Us Apart. Got a nice ring to it, I thought, and then the thought never left me.

This is the story of how Hustle met Hart.

Quinn Hustle’s junior year as a varsity basketball player, starts as any other year…until he literally falls over the new kid. There’s everything to like about Tripp Hart, including the fact that they play for the same teams. Fast friends become best friends, but when hearts get in the way of the game, they may wind up broken. Will their friendship be enough to overrule their heads and earn them both a win?

P.S. No Ace and Dare here, but crossover characters may appear.

November Flash

November Flash(back)

Ah... those college days...

Flash Fiction -  January 3, 2015

“C’mon,” I teased him as he drew me forward. His fakest smile couldn’t deter me from trying to get a rise out of him. “You know you want to.”

His hand splayed on my chest pushed me flat to the tabletop. His grin vanished, and I drew in a quick gasp of air. The look in his eyes as he held me down had me biting my lip. Seems like he finally took my bait. I wondered what he’d do to me.

Squirming, I laughed and laughed as he tickled me. I should’ve known better than to tease the beast.

October Flash

October Flash(back)

Flash Fiction - Decemeber 31, 2014

“Like this?”

“Almost, try this.”

“Better?”

Arm around him. Hand on his heart. “Better now.” Softly singing into his ear. Funny, made up little rhymes. Mixed up songs. Changing lyrics. Laughing loud.

Turning, tickling. Falling to the floor. Him above, me beneath. Eyes searching mine. His body lowering. Breathing faster. Wetting lips awaiting his. Slowly, slowly.

Too slow. Hand cupping his head. Pulling down. Hard, pressed kiss, backing off to gentle. Another and another. Stopping, pulling away. Tilt of head. Precocious grin. Reciprocated.

“Again?”

“Again. Please.”

Closing fast, lips meeting. Mingling breaths, swallowing sounds. Want more, but not here.

“Bed?”

September Flash

September Flash(back)

It's my anniversary this month. We had such fun opening all our presents over the years between bridal showers, wedding presents and baby showers. 22 amazing years and counting!!

Flash Fiction 12-3-14

While Sean sat on our bed, the pile of presents surrounding him, I rejoiced at how lucky we were to have found each other.

He picked up each box, shook it, rolled his eyes to the ceiling, biting his lip as he tried to think of what each one contained.

I moved in behind him, ran my hands from his shoulders all the way down his back. I placed a kiss on the back of his neck when he said, “Einey, meeney, miney, mo.”

“Any order, love. They’re all for you.”

He twisted and kissed me. “You open one, too.”
