July Flash

July Flash(back)

Flash fiction - December 20,2014

I stared at the note. Really?
Okay. I shrugged. Sure, why not. I took off my t-shirt, folded it, tying it around my eyes.

Standing awkwardly in the middle of the living room, I wondered what my surprise would be. I don’t know how long I stood there for, the anticipation making it feel like forever.

I flinched when a hand pulled at mine, positioning it behind my head. A kiss to the back of my neck turning my head. The hand slid down, stopping at my waistband. A tug and the button popped open.

This was one helluva surprise.

June Flash

June Flash(back)

Flash Fiction - November 26, 2014

“Oh my,” I muttered as I stopped and stared at his stunning beauty. He peeked up and our gazes met. I wondered who he was waiting for, wishing it was me. The corner of his mouth raised in a sly grin when he realized he’d caught me, and I laughed softly, my fingers covering my lips.
“Hey.” His voice struck me low and I whimpered.
“Hm?” It was the most articulate thing I could say at the moment. He seemed to take it as par for the course, granting me a full-fledged, magical smile, trapping me in his seductive spell.

May Flash

May Flash(back)

Flash Fiction - November 14, 2014

Parking in front of his apartment building, I got out of the car, stalked to the front and laid down on the cold, hard cobblestones. I’d given up on trying to win his heart back. I stared at the clouds—gray and dull, like my life has been without him. I stared at the brickwork of his home—a wall, keeping me out of his world, out of his heart. I stared at his window—my emotions laid bare, letting him see into my soul.

I stared into his eyes as he stood over me. He laid down beside me and kissed me.

Flash is Back!

Flash is Back!

I am so excited. Flash Fiction is back on Goodreads. I'm actually on a couple of websites and Facebook pages that post up pictures for flash fiction, but there is something easy about GR's 100 word submissions. Plus, almost all the pictures are inspiring. This one is going to be expanded for a chapter of Hustle and Hart, a brand new YA novel I'm currently writing. Enjoy!

April 2019 - Flash Fiction

(Inspiration for Hustle and Hart)

He didn’t know about me. Nobody did. Friends don’t kiss friends. That’s the truth, but I wanted to. I wanted him as more than a friend.

He’d just spilt his guts, his secrets, confided in me, and all I could do was stare. At his mouth, his eyes, his hands gripping his thighs, knuckles going white. His heart was probably pounding as fast as mine, galloping like one of those horses he could ride.

I took one step closer, than two, moving between his spread thighs and covered his hands with mine. I raised my eyes from groin to chest to face, felt him wrap his big, warm hands around my neck, and shuddered at the first taste of his lips.
