December Flash II

December Flash(back) II

Something Sweet and Yummy for you!

Flash Fiction - December 24, 2014

“Boys,” he said, clapping his hands. Powdered sugar drifted down to dust us. Brett rolled off me and we stared up at him. The corner of Daddy’s mouth turned up, eyes sparkling. He pulled a candy cane from his apron pocket and handed it to Brett.

“I thought you boys were going to clean up this mess.”

“We got a little distracted,” Brett answered, sticking his tongue out to curl around the candy.

“Well, covered in sugar, you do look sweet.”

I held out a hand to Daddy in invitation. “Do you want a taste?”

“Don’t mind if I do…”

December Flash

December Flash(back)

Flash Fiction 12-11-2014

A hand on my back, one around my waist, a cold nose nuzzled into my neck. “Andy,” he whispered, “have you been a good boy this year?”

I, in turn, rubbed my scruffy cheek against his smooth one, sighing, enjoying the feel of his hands on me, wishing there was a few less layers between us. “I hope so,” I whispered back. “I do want Santa to bring me something good.”

“What!” He gently pushed me away in mock horror, and I spun to face him, pulling him to me.

“Silly,” I teased, “you’re the best present I’ve ever gotten.”

New Release! Hustle and Hart

A brand new Young Adult Novella set in the

Southern Jersey Shores world.

Way back in February, I wrote a quick one chapter story in response to a prompt from my publisher/editor, Debbie McGowan from Beaten Track Publishing. Using ABBA songs only, create a story, poem, haiku, whatever. I'd been tossing around the idea of a basketball themed story ever since I saw one of my daughter's coaches wearing a shirt that read: Hustle and Heart Sets Us Apart. Got a nice ring to it, I thought, and then the thought never left me.

This is the story of how Hustle met Hart.

Quinn Hustle’s junior year as a varsity basketball player, starts as any other year…until he literally falls over the new kid. There’s everything to like about Tripp Hart, including the fact that they play for the same teams. Fast friends become best friends, but when hearts get in the way of the game, they may wind up broken. Will their friendship be enough to overrule their heads and earn them both a win?

P.S. No Ace and Dare here, but crossover characters may appear.

November Flash

November Flash(back)

Ah... those college days...

Flash Fiction -  January 3, 2015

“C’mon,” I teased him as he drew me forward. His fakest smile couldn’t deter me from trying to get a rise out of him. “You know you want to.”

His hand splayed on my chest pushed me flat to the tabletop. His grin vanished, and I drew in a quick gasp of air. The look in his eyes as he held me down had me biting my lip. Seems like he finally took my bait. I wondered what he’d do to me.

Squirming, I laughed and laughed as he tickled me. I should’ve known better than to tease the beast.
